Which results can you expect?

27 out of the 28 students attending the lesson identified the 5 stages of group development correctly and 25 students named at least 2 specific features of each stage. When they were asked how they felt during the lesson, 21 responded that they felt engaged, 6 felt challenged and 1 bored.

What do students say?

What I liked most was the teacher’s approach, the use of the video and the fact that the teacher let us discover the information independently before we discussed it with the whole class. (Oana)

It was an interactive lesson and I understood everything very easily. (Maria)

What I liked most about this lesson was the activity in which we had to find answers to some questions after watching a short video, which contributed to the better and deeper understanding of the information. (Miruna)

What do teachers say?

I believe that the lesson was successful because the learning objectives were reached, and the students were appreciative. Moreover, according to the students’ responses to “what I want to learn more about”, they seemed to understand that learning is not confined to the school and they expressed their wish to find out more about a leader’s role and about Bruce Tuckman’s life. I intend to insist on developing students’ relationship skills by using participatory methods more often.
